I will bless you and make your name great; and you shall be a blessing.”
Romans 4 (MSG) We call Abraham “father” not because he got God’s attention by living like a saint, but because God made something out of Abraham when he was a nobody.
Abraham was first named “father” and then became a father because he dared to trust God to do what only God could do: raise the dead to life, with a word make something out of nothing.
When everything was hopeless, Abraham believed anyway, deciding to live not on the basis of what he saw he couldn’t do but on what God said he would do.
Psalm 37:3-5 (NKJV) Trust in the LORD, and do good; Dwell in the land, and feed on His faithfulness.
Delight yourself also in the LORD, And He shall give you the desires of your heart.
Commit your way to the LORD, Trust also in Him, And He shall bring it to pass.
Joshua 1:8 (AMP) This Book of the Law shall not depart from your mouth,
you shall read, meditate on it day and night,
so that you may be careful to do everything in accordance with all that is written in it;
for then you will make your way prosperous, and then you will be successful. (Put your name here)
John 10:10 (AMP) “The thief comes only in order to steal and kill and destroy. I came that they may have life, and have it in abundance, to the full, till it overflows.”
And it may sound over simple, but Jesus is asking us the same thing today. Simply Trust, Delight, Commit.
Isaiah 1:19 (NKJV) “If you are willing and obedient, You shall eat the good of the land;”
